We’ve written in the past about “Why fittings offer the best solution for access platforms,” with the main benefits being flexibility in design and quick installation. Since then, we have seen an increase in enquiries for bespoke platforms as more and more customers realise the benefits of these forms of access.
Bespoke platforms provide a safer alternative to traditional access systems such as ladders, scissor lifts or other portable access systems. Being bespoke they are designed for a specific requirement and are ideal for areas which require frequent access such as around machinery to allow safe operation or maintenance of equipment, for safe access around congested areas in a plant room or to accommodate changes in level both inside a building and on the roof.
Access platforms can be static to provide a permanant safety solution, or mobile, which are particularly suited to warehouse environments where they may need to be used in a number of locations.
The following are just a few examples of where bespoke platforms can be used:

Access platforms allow for changes in level on a roof

Safe access over obstacles on congested roofs. Kee Walk treads in high grade glass reinforced nylon reduce the possibility of slipping.

Safe Access in plant rooms

Safe access over pipework and ducting.

Mobile platforms are ideal for warehouses

Self closing gates provide added safety on mobile work platforms
