Bradfield College, Berkshire required a roof top safety system to gain access to the main chiller room for their canteen. In recent years there has been no safety system until a temporary scaffold guardrail and walkway was recently put in place. Kee Systems (through previous works) was asked to attend the site to advice on an appropriate, permanent, cost effective safety solution.
Kee Systems recommended, designed and installed the following safety solutions:
- KEE WALK traversing modular walkway, adaptable, flexible on site, providing a safe walkway to the plant chiller room avoiding any slip, trip and fall hazards
- KEEGUARD Free Standing Guard Rail – providing the operatives a safety guard rail whilst walking across the roof to access the plant chiller room
- Cat Ladder to gain access up to roof level safely
Kevin Clarke, the Health and Safety Manager at Bradfield College said: “We were looking for a permanent solution to a difficult access area that is regularly used. Kee Systems designed and installed roof top walkway with guardrail at Bradfield College in order to ensure safe access to the school’s roof.
