We’re pleased to announce that our range of Spring Loaded Safety Gates has undergone an upgrade to ensure continued superior performance and compliance with international standards.
Our new KEE GATE self closing safety gates are designed to provide hazard protection for both internal and external applications. The new gates are particularly suited to areas where industrial safety gates are required, such as providing safe access and egress around machinery and electrical equipment, on access platforms, step overs, stairways and ladders or as part of a demarcated route within a loading bay or warehouse.
Extensive testing has been undertaken to guarantee the durability of the gates and to ensure they comply with the requirements of international standards such as BS 14122 Parts 3 & 4 Safety to machinery which sets out the specifications of permanent means of access to machinery via stairways, stepladders, guard-rails and fixed ladders. This requires that “any gates shall be self-closing and shall be designed to open onto the platform or floor and to close against a firm stop to prevent users pushing against them and falling through the opening. Gates shall be subject to the same loading criteria as guard-rails”
As with our previous safety gates, our new range of spring loaded gates are designed for ease of installation. Each gate is supplied as a standard 1m width and can be easily cut down on site to meet the required height and width. Installing or retro-fitting the gate is easy, simply attach it to the structure (including square, flat or angle uprights) using the two U-Bolts supplied.
The KEE GATE self closing gate is CE marked and available galvanised or powder coated in safety yellow.
